GRT wins 2023 ecostar award

GRT’s President & COO Claire Lewis and Director of Business Development Blair Tassone attended the Synergy Foundation Ecostar Awards gala earlier in November and were genuinely surprised and delighted when GRT won the award in the Design and Construction category!

Since 2015, the Ecostar Awards have recognized outstanding environmental achievements and leadership on Vancouver Island. The awards are presented to Vancouver Island-based businesses, non-profits, academia, governments and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional environmental and social initiatives.

And what a lovely and supportive evening it was. We were struck by how many people in this beautiful place are trying to make a positive difference in the world. We were also particularly moved by the people and organizations working toward meaningful reconciliation with local indigenous nations. This may sound naive, but we dream of a future when everyone, everywhere, is trying to do work the way all the Ecostar nominees are.
